Rococo is such a spring-like time, the style really doesn't lend itself to any other season (maybe summer but it's too hot for all those clothes). Time and time again floral prints and pastel colors come into fashion right around spring. It's a tradition I guess. I like these light hearted paintings by Italian artist Federico Andreotti (1847-1930). They really capture the mood of the spring I wish we were having.

I can't seem to find any substantive information about him. I suppose some of these will be added to the imaginary art gallery anyway. There is something of the spirit of a Dumas novel about these, combined with the feeling one gets while eating ice cream.
